In ArtCAM 2013 there were alot more tools available while the shape editor was active.
Since 2015 you can't do anything while the shape editor is active. we need to be able to link colours, ATLEAST, while the editor is open, all of the staff here are finding this very frustrating.
This was requested way back in the 2015 testing phase.
ArtCAM 2013 shape editor is a much better solution than the current live system which locks all other functions.
We would sacrifice the speed of relief creation to have the functionality of the 2013 shape editor. Not having the function to link & unlink colours while the shape editor is open is a serious oversight.
The functionality of the shape editor seems to have been overlooked when we suggested the changes for 2015, it should behave differently to all of the other tool tabs.
When working in Autodesk ArtCAM Premium 2018 (Version: 2018.1.0 Build: 2017-08-24-1525-cf7743dc2), you can link colours while the Shape Editor is active by clicking and dragging the swatches in the Colour Palette displayed below the view.
To link colours with the Shape Editor selected:
In the Colour Palette, click and hold the mouse button on the colour you want to link.
Drag the mouse cursor onto the colour with which you want to link.
Release the mouse button.
