why Arnold 3.2 Cpu is working 10 times slower than previous release?

Hi, im having this issue.

the Same scene is rendering 10 times slower than the previous version . Same final quality. No skydome.

changed the sss mode back to diffusion (but it wasn't making any difference)

Even AA sampling in 1 and everything else in 0 takes to much time for the result it shows.

Any ideas?

im downgrading for the moment. in this condition it is not viable to work with

thanks!

Can you enable verbose logs and render with both versions? That should hopefully give an indication of what's going on.

Look at your thread count at render time. In Arnold 3.2 I get 80% of my threads going and turning off auto detect threads helps.

what SSS mode you use in 3.2 and 2.0?

The mode changes automatically from diffusion to randomwalk. ive changed back to diffusion though and the changes in render time are very small

is not a sss problem. the hair takes for ever to render

Are you using Extra Samples? What are your Ray Depth and Light sample settings?

Yes I see same problem in work scene without sss, but in seconds slower
3min per frame on 5.2 core and 3.5min per frame on 3.2 core

It's hard to tell what's going without some logs, or a scene.

It's xgen hair, right? Is the slowdown in the actual rendering or in scene initialization?
