Who ever might be interested:
Arnold is a phantastic Renderer. To me, NOT Profi but more or less beginner with Maya,
my personal Opinion/ Notes:
Arnold seems to work much better on CPU than GPU. Unfortunately there is no GPU based
Iray Possibility available in Arnold.
It happened that 2K Renders in DAZ Studio with Iray are done in some seconds or less than a Minute.
But Arnold needs some 20-30 Minutes for the same. Camera AA 3 and some manipulating on Transluency and SSS Shaders, Bumps and Normals. These DAZ Features might be usefull for close up Stills but not needed for Animations (IMHO).
And as you might know, DAZ Scenes sometimes come along with some hunderds of Surfaces and Textures with at least 4k each.
MY QUESTION NOW: IS THERE ANY IRAY RENDERER FOR MAYA 2024 AVAILABE WITHOUT PAYING HUNDREDS OF MONEY AGAIN?
I heared about an old, free Version of MentalRay. But installing it, a *.Lic File is requested, what I don't have.
Thought it is free.

This is probably the .tx texture conversion process for all of your 4k texture maps. This only happens for the first frame and should be much quicker thereafter. Also, remember to pre-populate the GPU cache beforehand and install the latest NVIDIA drivers for your graphics card.
OK, I have prepopulated. After 8 Min, there was still Status 0% in the IPR.
BTW Rendered the Same Scene in Lightwave thsi afternoon. some 200 Textures.
16,7 Mio Polygons 3 IES Light, 2 Standard Lights, 1 Skydome Environment Light. All Ligh Scans 8 - 16 Lightwave Camera AA 4. Reflection/Refraction 8 Scans. This is all double as Lightwave default.
See attached. It is late Night here. I will check that with Arnold tomorrow again and let you know.
RendertimeLW: 6 - 7 Minutes 4K
Here the Lightwave Render:
Got him down to some 4 Seconds (That is fine!) per Frame FHD for a Subway Animation.
But not that brutal big as the Scene yday.
Renderer: GPU NVIDIA RTX 3070
Arnold Setting:
Camera AA 3
Ray Depth 6
All other set to 0 (!) Somebody told me ref oversampling.
Of course depends on every Scene
Denoiser Optix
To avoid that ugly denoising effect as much as possible:
Gaussian to 1,5 (Render)
Blending 0,8 (Denoise)
Some Deflickering in Video Editing

Guys, did I see that correct: 14 Sec for 4 K??? This is INCREDIBLE!!!! Tell me I am mad or is that real???
So I am quite satisfied. Coming back to my original Question: There is no available older (free) Version of Mentalray or any IRAY Render Engine compatible with Maya 2024 available? Right? I know, good Stuff can't be for free, it was just and Idea as I accidentially heard of Mentalray and that is not being developed anymore.
