Network License Problem on Mac

Hi there, I want to setup a .flexlmrc license file in the mac root folder but I am unable to name it .flexlmrc because the "." files are reserved for systemfiles. I also looked for a existing .flexlmrc file via terminal and the ls -la command but there is none. I would really appreciate your help Best Regards!

.flexlmrc has to be in your home folder (~/.flexlmrc). For example, in /Users/roman

Use a text editor to create the file. If you haven't used Autodesk licensing before on that machine, the .flexlmrc file won't exist yet.

Thank you for the swift answer but the problem is creating a file with a dot in the name at the begining. In both windows and osx it is required to have something that comes before the fileending. There seems to be no way to create a file which only consists of a fileending in its name. Or am I missing something?

Nevermind. Found a solution. I used the mv command in osx. But thank you anyway!

TextEdit can save a file with a name that starts with a dot "."

In a terminal, you could use "

nano .flexlmrc

or

vi .flexlmrc

or

echo ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE=@localhost > ~/.flexlmrc
