Mixed app renderfarm using Arnold and Deadline

We're expanding our farm at work with the acquisition of some C4D and Houdini seats to go along with Maya. We are currently using Vray but are moving to Arnold, initially with a 25 pack of licenses What's the best way to get Arnold working on the farm with the various apps through Deadline. Initially I was assuming a standalone install. One thing I read on the Arnold blog was to install Maya and then the MTOA license on each node. I don't think that'll work for C4D and Houdini though. Currently in the downloads section I do not see a "standalone" version of Arnold. Any tips would be helpful.

Arnold SDK is the standalone Arnold

Then you have to export ASS files from each different application.

And make sure that any app-specific shaders or procedurals are available on the render nodes. For example, C4D noise shaders or Bifrost procedurals.

Or for CINEMA 4D scene files, you install CINEMA 4D and C4DtoA

For Houdini scenes, Houdini and HtoA
