Is it possible to bake volume displacement into geometry?

I know that it is possible to bake displacement on a polymesh into a model with the displacement as actual geometry. Would it be possible to do so with volume displacement as well?

Thank you

I suppose it could be possible. But you won't be able to do it with the current Bake Selected Geometry command...it works on polygon meshes only.

And how could it be achieved then?

Yes, it is possible to bake volume displacement into a model, converting it into actual geometry. This process is often referred to as "volume displacement baking" or "volume displacement mapping." Volume displacement works similarly to regular displacement, but it affects the entire volume of a 3D object, altering its shape in a volumetric manner.
