Does Arnold Denoiser (Noice) work on depth of field?

Does the Arnold Denoiser (Noice) work on areas that are out of focus?

I can't get it to work...

noice works on pixels, and considers the variance of surrounding pixels to denoise.

It's not going to make blurred areas sharp.

Does that mean it can't denoise 'Out of focus'/'Blurred' areas?
I dont want the out of focus areas to be 'sharp' or 'in focus'. I just want to get rid of the noise in those areas.

Depends on what kind of noise, how much. Maybe the feature AOVs (denoise_albedo?) are noisy too.

What does an OIDN denoise look like on a frame?

The render looks clean without the depth of field enabled. The noise is purly generated by the depth of field. I just want to know if the Noice denoiser supports Depth of field denoising. If it does I am doing something wrong...

And I want to use the Noice Denoiser because of the temporal stability. OIDN does not support stable sequence renders right?!

If the scene render is converted enough, OIDN is fine. Other customers use OIDN for animation. So give it a try.

Also, OIDN will denoise the diffuse albedo, so it would interesting to see if that makes a diff
