Hi all!
So I was rendering a frame for a project and having issues with Arnold where a tile does not completely render. I don't get any errors about it but I don't know where or how it happens. Any ideas what's happening with Arnold? When I also do render sequence in Maya, there's multiple blue tiles and gonna render forever. If anyone knows what's causing the issue and how to fix it it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Can you provide a log file and more details/screenshots about the scene? What does the shader look like? Are you using displacement? etc
Hi lee and thanks for the reply. My scene file consist of only 2 geometries and 2 lights. The arnold log is just a blank text file. Yes I am using a displacement shader. I'm trying to combine 2 displacement shaders but don't know the workflow and I found this link on Autodesk's forum:
Also these are some screenshots of my scene and the shader connections. I tried rendering it again with "Render Sequence" and this is what I got.
Looking forward on your reply.
Can you increase the Max. Warnings to 100?
Can you use a Layer texture to layer the displacement maps?
Can you try simplifying the shader to identify what is causing it? ie delete the expression etc
Does the missing bucket occur in both the Maya Render View and Arnold Render View windows?
Hi Lee and thanks for the reply. The missing bucket occurs on both Render View windows. In some cases the missing bucket appears randomly around the middle of the face. Also, Maya stops responding everytime I pause the render in Arnold Render View or takes a lot of time before I can tweak something. I even tried rendering with a different camera and there's always one missing bucket that doesnt render.
Update: I tried using aiLayerFloat to combine the 2 displacements. Same results. Maya always freezes when I pause the render. Also I got this arnold log inside my scenes folder. arnold.txt
Are you able to upload a simplified scene that reproduces the issue?
