I'm trying to realize parallax mapping in maya recently, but I didn't find any tutorials, so I tried to do it myself. In fact, I did realize it, but it was very stuck. Yes, I used a lot of nodes, a lot of them. But I use the same method in blender, which is very smooth. I would like to ask if there is any way to optimize it and make it smoother.

In this set of nodes, repeated calculations are needed to detect the depth.

That's what I did. I was actually restoring marmoset toolbag. This works well in blender. But it is almost impossible to use it in maya arnold because it is too slow. Basically, they have the same effect, except that the same scene in maya may take a day. In fact, it is almost unresponsive in maya, but it is real-time in blender. What should I do? How should I optimize maya's scene? Or maybe it's my version. If someone is willing to test it with a higher version, I will send the source file.

I spent a lot of time studying this problem, everything is normal, but it is too stuck, so I hope to make it smooth, otherwise, although this effect can be achieved, it will take too much rendering time.ScreenShot_20250425161123.pngScreenShot_20250425161123.png
