what would be the closer translation in Arnold ..

...of a shader like this (Keyshot)
I havent used much Arnold before but the whole transparency/transmission/opacity/opaque settings and setupare soooo confusingly annoying
the shader would be applied to a single surface mesh (no thickness)

thanks much

For glass, you would just set the transmission https://support.solidangle.com/x/xwFeAg

And for any transparency/opacity to take effect you will need to set the opaque parameter off on the geometry: https://support.solidangle.com/x/pgBeAg

We have a tutaoril for rednering glass/liquid here: https://support.solidangle.com/x/XgFeAg
