Rendering Belts

I need some advice on rendering belts. For the maps, I had originally taken photos and or scans of the actual belt and made my maps from that. But I had some issues with seams and breaks always thinking the final composite could look better.

I have some limitations with this render such as the belt has to be pin straight, cannot fold or curve. I thought maybe playing with anisotropy or SSS would give more of HQ look on top of the other maps i have added but its still not there.

Can someone point me in the right direction

Is the model completely flat? The belt in the photo looks like it is not. Maybe breaking up the model with some large scale noise (or ramp) displacement would help with highlights? How are you lighting the scene? Maybe smaller lights would help with this?
