Plug in Subsurface Texture loses Displacement and Normal Map Detail

Hi,
When I plug in the texture map into subsurface, and set the weight to 1. I noticed it lose a lot of wrinkles and details from my displacement map and normal map. I tried to bring the weight down to around 0.75, and increase the normal map intensity. Then I can get some of the details back. I'm wondering if there are other ways to retain the displacement & normal map detail without lowering the subsurface weight ?
