Mulitple shadow colors

sphere.jpgI want to get a shadow with a black to blue fade. I can fake it with a texture but I know that there is some way to do it with shaders. Ray switch has an shadow attribute but I not able to get the effect that I like. Maybe a ramp to shadow matt to ray switch to mix shader that combines with my surface shader. Also it's the shadow on the object not the cast shadow that I want. Like the image

I got it to work with toon shader to mix two standard surface shaders.

can you expand? I am trying to get two different objects to cast two different shadow colors on the same plane (floor)... Would your solution work for that you think?

Yes, I used the toon shader as an alpha to blend an mix shader with two different standard shaders. I think the ai ray switch shader is closer to what you're looking for. https://docs.arnoldrenderer.com/display/A5AFMUG/Ray+Switch
