In Arnold 4.X we used to be able to set negative values in the mipmap bias. Is this still possible somehow? It doesn't seem to work in Arnold 5.

How did you get this info Stephen? I am glad it is still working! Where I couldn't get this working was in the aiimage, inputting negative values into my hdr doesn't seem to affect it like it did previously. Did the workflow change for this?

The MIP-COUNT is from the Arnold log (verbosity level Warnings + Info).

I find it hard to get a good visual example, I finally managed to set one up with Arnold 4.2.x. where I can actually see the diff.

I see. Previously it would blur the whole image significantly, so far that I'd use it as a highly defocused backdrop for my shading work. Maybe I was just exploiting a bug. It's not a big deal. Thanks for the answers!
