Light linking

Hello, I have a large scene with a Physical sky light and a SkyDome light.  The Physical sky light blows out in the glass areas so I went to Relationship Editors/Light Linking and unlinked it from the glass meshes but it still illuminates it. Other types of light can be unlinked and no longer illuminate but not Sky.

I tested on a new project with just spheres, same result, all lights unlinked but Sky ignores the unlink. Not sure why this wouldn't work. Is there a workaround?  Thanks.

what version of maya and arnold?
i just tried it in maya 2024 and mtoa 5.3.2.1 and the light linking for aiSkyDomeLight with an aiPhysicalSky works fine.

perhaps you want the sky to be not transmitted through the glass? there's visibility sliders for different ray types in aiSkyDomeLight Shape node, turn down the transmission visibility?

Hello, hey thanks for checking. Using Maya 2024 and mtoa 5.3.2.1 also.  I tried deleting my prefs and it still doesn't work correctly. It must be an issue with my file. I ended up using a matte for all the other meshes and manually turned the light off in the outliner and that worked.  Thanks.
