How do i use aiFlakes to make glitter-filled dice?

Hello,

I'm trying to create some slightly translucent dice with one color, filled with glitter that's a different color. I'd settle for just transparent dice with colored glitter though.

I also want to animate the dice rotating, so its important to see the depth of the glitter.

I thought aiFlakes was made for exactly this purpose, but after fiddling with the settings for an hour or so a day for a whole week I just cant figure it out.

Can someone show me how to setup something like this in Arnold?

It may be worth noting that I've previously only textured stuff in UE4, so I'm not completely familiar with Arnold settings. Also, I'm using Arnold in Maya.

Here is my setup. Depth: 1 gives 3d flakes.

Do you know how to get that look, but keep the reflections on just the glitter.

like how the number 6 looks, but not how the 12 is covered in a specular.  in effect only having a reflection on the glitter but not the surface?

I have this looking right (the sphere) but I don't want the large dense reflections.

Try reducing the flakes.normal_randomize.
