Hello,
I have a project for school and need to do an animation with maya using Arnold as renderer engine. My render is really noisy and i can't figure out why. I know the problem come from indirect light thanks to AOVs and want some help to understand which mistake i done. I already tried to increase the value of diffuse and specular render setting but it is always noisy and take a huge time. I tried with the optix denoiser and the render was good but i can't use it to a sequenceRenderer because the light and shadow was shaking betweens frames.
Thanks a lot in advence for your help 🙂
Increasing diffuse samples should reduce indirect noise. How does it look with 5 diffuse samples for example?
The bright pixels could be fireflies from the lights. Are they intersecting geo or near a bright specular shader? Also, try increasing the light samples to 4 and Camera (AA) to 5 for final renders.
Try GPU and denoising, if it is taking too long with the latest version of the plugin.

Hello, thanks for your help 🙂
I already succed to reduce the amount of noise by deleting some walls and ceiling doesn't seen by the camera and render in EXR then Denoice. But i have another problem, the lights and shadows of my sequence are flickering.
Here is a link to see the problem : https://youtu.be/Y9JX5Xdogyg
And here a link to download my scene if necesseray : https://we.tl/t-2eCv9jhcLb
Thanks in advance for your help 🙂
I see it mostly in the specular surfaces. Does increasing specular or Camera (AA) samples help?
Are you using the default Arnold Denoiser settings?
Maybe adjusting some of the Arnold Denoiser settings would help with that.
