Trying to denoice an EXR in combination with lentil (https://www.lentil.xyz/)
Looks like it is removing the variance pass?!
That's by design, although changing the variance filter on variance AOVs could be a bug. I don't know for sure, you should ask the Lentil developer.
Lentil changes the filters:
In the operator section of the render settings, add a lentil_operator. This operator will swap the filter for each AOV at rendertime.
