Arnold GPU in Maya 2022 is crashing frequently. Errors in log as well.

Hi all,

I have MtoA-4.2.4-2022 installed in Maya 2022. Unfortunately despite enabling GPU in Arnold's settings I am getting slow renders and lots of instability. There are many fatal GPU errors occuring.

Error: [gpu] Fatal GPU error occurred, please restart the host application //

Here are my Arnold settings.

Here is a random error:

My last log is attached.

Any help at all would be incredibly appreciated.

Can you post the Arnold log? That's the one we need to see.

Instructions for generating full verbosity log files are available for MtoA, MaxtoA, C4DtoA, HtoA, KtoA, and Kick.

After there is one GPU fatal error, you have to exit Maya and start it again.

I would use the Arnold Render View, not the Maya Render View.

I will get back to you with a log very shortly. I've stopped using GPU all together because of how unstable it is. Especially with volumes.

I just created a simple scene with a base mesh and a dome light and that rendered fine on the GPU. It's something about my other scene that's crashing the GPU render. I'll have to narrow it down somehow.
