Hello,

Here is the error:

| authorizing with license manager: network ...

00:00:00 205MB WARNING | rendering with watermarks because of failed authorization:

00:00:00 205MB | [clm.v1] error loading a library (4)

00:00:00 205MB | environment variables: 00:00:00 205MB | ARNOLD_LICENSE_ORDER = network

00:00:00 205MB | ARNOLD_LICENSE_MANAGER = (not set)

00:00:00 205MB | [rlm] solidangle_LICENSE = (not set)

00:00:00 205MB | [rlm] RLM_LICENSE = (not set)

00:00:00 205MB | [clm] ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE = @my.license.server

00:00:00 205MB | [clm] LM_LICENSE_FILE = (not set)

Cant find any details on this "error loading a library" code. I have tried reinstalling MtoA and Maya 2025 cleanly, no good.

2024 works fine, with the same MtoA version, but with the binary that sits in mtoa/2024

This is for a Mac, OS 13.6.8

Anyone have any ideas ?

Maya does not come with a standalone license.

Do you have bought a Arnold lic?

Hello,

Yes, we have licenses. There are no issues when we use MtoA 2024 ( which we have updated to the latest; 5.4.3)

5.4.3 uses 2025.0.0.F, so the licenses should be the same for MtoA 2024/25 ?

To note I'm sending the command remotely to a device, via a renderfarm tool. TLDR the device gets a unix command to run, in this case "kick <args>".

For some reason, specifically with Maya / MtoA 2025, I get the error I posted first.

Im not a lic expert.

But i could imagine you have to add the 2025 license to the license server.
Who installed the lics in the first place?

Hello,

sorry for late reply - time difference -

Yes, we have a license server that is running the license, and have confirmed its working.

( License can be found when running the license manager from gui, but when running kick from a command line, particularly remote commands, I get the errors.

From what the error says, it appears to be unable to load some sort of library - unfortunately I cannot find any documentation on this particular error.

Bumping this thread just to say that I was running into this same problem with Maya 2025.1, but updating to Maya 2025.3 fixed it.  👍
