I have displacement baked out of Zbrush. When using Maya's File node, I would pipe in Alpha channel and turn on Alpha Is Luminance in the File node for the displacement to work. This method was also suggested when using Roughness map baked out of Substance Painter. I need to use aiImage so I can access my second UV set but now my displacement and roughness wont work. I tried piping in the OutColor.R to my Displacement node and that does not displace the geometry correctly.
What is the correct workflow when using aiImage to get the Alpha channel work correctly for my displacement and roughness. If there is way to specify UV set using Maya's default File Node then how would I go about doing that? Thanks.
Use aiColorCorrect with Alpha is Luminance
Thanks Stephen. That worked perfectly in CPU mode. But for some reason not working in GPU mode. Any idea why this is? aiImage not supported in GPU. The Arnold Documentation page seems to be down for a couple of days now.
There is a known issue with autobump in Arnold GPU, and that looks like what you are getting.
