"Edit Material Network" loads "Generic shaders"

Hello!

I am trying to add specifiers, overs or edit an Arnold material in Solaris. The editmaterial loads "generic shaders" instead of Arnold materials. This is enough to change some parameters but if the idea is to add nodes like ambient occlusion, displacement, "ramp" or a "color correct" then Houdini returns an error as "Generic Shaders" and "Arnold" shaders can not be sharing the same material network. 

Is there a workaround for this?

yeah I got the same issue and still no solution to this other than re-creating the entire shader network
