Houdini Internal operator (op:/) when will be supported in HtoA?

We have a ticket for this, htoa#531. What is your particular use case for this feature by the way?

Have you lost this ticket htoa#531 or you find that it is not important?
op:/ is present in Renderman, Vray, Redshift why not Arnold?

This is still important to us, we'll bump ticket #531, it is not lost :). Thanks for the interest.

using substance textures [Labs Substance plugin] from COPS directly to "image" nodes for texturing instead of writing every channel individually.

Hi I would like to add my request for this, it is a feature we use a lot in other renderers. Our use cases are using COPs to make and modulate complex noise patterns, also for piping heightfield masks/data from terrains to cops for modulation and then on to the shader.

This (ticket #531) is 4 years old, maybe we would have to wait another 4 years!

my Use case is a custom "Labs Substance" SOP but with Arnold materials. The node currently works with only Mantra so I wanted one for Arnold.

Hey all! Is there any update on this? It's greatly limiting the workflows at the moment...

I have nothing to do with that, I'm like all of you! in other forums you have an almost instantaneous answer, while Autodesk not only prefers to turn a deaf ear, but also finds a way to change my user name for no reason!

Rachid hadj Abderrahmane changed to rachid_1 then to rachyd
Shame on you Autodesk!

There's no update.
And user names changed when we switched forum software.

Wow! I spent hours looking for a way to use COP images in CHOP with arnold, thinking come on there should be a way... and then I've seen this. 6years with a ticket and Autodesk still doesn't fix it (or better, doesn't want to fix it)! Unistalling arnold from houdini, switching to better render engine of a better company!

Haha, couldn't agree more xD

For me Redshift is the best implemented render engine and if you would like to have CPU v-ray is also well implemented. Both support the internal operator function 🤙

3+ years later and we still need this, please add this to HtoA so we can use the internal COPs texture in arnold, so dumb that literally every engine in houdini except for this one works with op:/

Frankly I don't understand the philosophy of ADSK.
It seems every time I report something, they find a way to leave you perplexed and frustrated and prefer to turn a deaf ear.
When will you take off your glasses, so you can see clearly this old ticket htoa#531 !

What studio are you with? I'll add the name to the list of users requesting this feature.
It's logged, but not scheduled or planned  for the near-term.
