I can't get Arnold to show up, Linux Mint

Hi, I've just switched over to Mint and I am currently reinstalling all of my software.
I have Houdini 17.5.258 and downloaded the corresponding Arnold version "htoa-4.1.0_r2d54824_houdini-17.5.258_linux".

I also have Redshift in the same string and that is working as expected.
Here's my .env file for Houdini.

QLIB=$HIH/qLib-master
QOTL=$QLIB/otls
HOUDINI_OTLSCAN_PATH = $QOTL/base:$QOTL/future:$QOTL/experimental:$HOUDINI_OTLSCAN_PATH:&
HOUDINI_PATH = $QLIB:&

HOUDINI_DSO_ERROR = 2
PATH = "/usr/redshift/bin:$PATH"
HOUDINI_PATH = "/usr/redshift/redshift4houdini/${HOUDINI_VERSION};&:/home/mazevfx/htoa/htoa-4.1.0_r2d54824_houdini-17.5.258/htoa-4.1.0_r2d54824_houdini-${HOUDINI_VERSION};&"

I've also tried appending:
/htoa/htoa-4.1.0_r2d54824_houdini-17.5.258/htoa-4.1.0_r2d54824_houdini-${HOUDINI_VERSION}
/htoa/htoa-4.1.0_r2d54824_houdini-17.5.258/htoa-4.1.0_r2d54824_houdini-17.5.258
And none of them work.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

I would start with a minimum env (just HtoA) and strace the startup
