Hython no Platform Plugin found

Hey,

so when i want to render from commandline with Arnold via hython (or Deadline) i get the attached popup. I tried to the solution proposed here, for copying the qwindows.dll a level higher already, which didn't help. I also tried an older version for the license manager and removing all other plugins/packages from houdini.

The command used would be something like this:

cd C:/PROGRA~1/SIDEEF~1/HOUDIN~1.622\bin
hython hrender.py -e -f 1000 1250 -i 1 -d /out/arnold1 "C:/Users/Elmar/Desktop/Arnold.hiplc"

Rendering via a Houdini-Gui Session works just fine. Any ideas on how to solve this, or is anyone able to reproduce this issue?

Edit:

Versions: Houdini 19.0.622-py3 and HtoA 6.1.2.0

Did you reinstall the Autodesk Licensing Service, and AdSSO?

Yes i did. The license is shown as correct when accessed via the menu in Houdini/LicenseManager. In Commandline mode it complains as seen below.

The popup posted appears before the warning about watermarks. Rendering without watermarks is just fine in a GUI-Session.

You could get Process Monitor logs, one for a working license check out, and one for a failure, and compare what AdskLicensingAgent is doing.

Otherwise, you'll have to contact Autodesk support (via manage.autodesk.com) for this AdskLicensingAgent problem. That Agent is part of the common Autodesk licensing platform.

Ok. Thanks for the quick replies anyways. I'll contact them then.

A Process Monitor log will show where the AdskLicensingAgent is looking for Qt plugins

From what i can see it is looking in the correct spot. Full Logfile attached. Both, Houdini and Arnold are once again clean re-installations now also.

Ok. Do you have a suggestion on how to solve this then? This is a vanilla Houdini Installation and I am really not sure how to proceed with this. Thank you.

Possibly with QT_PLUGIN_PATH?

Prepend the AdskLicensingAgent QT path to that.

When AdskLicensingAgent starts, the environment has this:

QT_PLUGIN_PATH=C:/PROGRA~1/SIDEEF~1/HOUDIN~1.622/bin/Qt_plugins

That's the only QT thing I see in the environment.

The other thing to do is compare the environment under hython versus under Houdini
