Hey, maybe a newbie question but i can't find a straight answear.
So, can i use the GPU for the Final Render or that happened only with the Cpu?
Thank you in advance.

Sure. Here are some tips on matching noise on CPU and GPU.

If you can share what you are rendering then maybe we can help you further.

Hey Lee, thnx for the reply.
Below i'm attaching a scrennshot.
All i m trying to understund is if i can render my final sequence with gpu or Arnold only final render with cpu!

P.s i m not talking about viewport render because that is already GPU enabled.

This is not a CPU/GPU problem. You set up scene in STAGE and try to render it in OUT. You are mixing two separate things together which will not work. In Houdini you can render in 2 ways:

1. Setup scene, lights, camera, assign materials in OBJ context. Set up materials in MAT context and render using OUT context.

2. Using Solaris where you must set up everything in STAGE context. Alternatively you can set up materials in MAT, objects and camera in OBJ and import them into STAGE. But you must render it in STAGE.

Hey Peter, thank you for the reply!
Ok, i can understunt that already but i checked the OUT context because in the USDrender_rop couldn't find an option to check for example arnold gpu render. When i rendered the sequence from the Solaris and usdrender_rop i noticed that Cpu was used to render only.. Is there a path that i could render with arnold and gpu? or is only physical the way?

No problem Fotis. You can specify all render settings including GPU rendering on the arnoldrendersettings node above the usdrenderrop node.
