crypto_custom not being picked up on pointInstancers in Solaris

In previous post, with help of others, i was able to setup crypto_custom reading my primvars attribute in Solaris.

Unfortunately, the same setup is failing, when used with poinInstancers.

Repro setup:

create pointInstancer with per point primvars:foo = "boo"

setup customAOV for cryptoMatte.

If the attribute lives on geo - i can see it in viewport and rendered EXRs. But if the attribute is on poinInstnacers points, its not being picked up. Other per point attributes on pointinstnacers are picking up and can be used in shaders.

Can we please look into it?

I don't know if I understood you correctly, can you share a simple scene with box and spheres showing the issue, maybe I can help.

You can control the color of crypto_custom by changing the string letter "a" to a "float" or "integer"
some example showing different string name:

ahh silly me

it was working in my scene already, i forgot to restart the renderer to see the results - multiple times on multiple days.

All good, user error.
