Arnold RenderView not showing up

Hi Arnold RenderView will not load it’s just gets stuck on calculating scene,

also my shaders do not load when I save to disk any ideas?

macbook running latest Houdini and Arnold

How do you start Houdini? Don't double-click a hip file.

Use the Houdini Launcher to open a Houdini Terminal, and start houdini from there.

Check the Node Info on the Arnold ROP

hi start Houdini by clicking on the Houdini.app not a hip file I  open Houdini first then go to recent and open a hip from there.

I will try the terminal approach but surely that’s just the same as the .app or is it with Sudo privileges?

The license doesn't matter. Even without a license it should render, just with a watermark.

If you start Houdini from a terminal, then the Arnold startup log is printed in the terminal (and also the logs for renders).

Ok, that's a known issue with the py37 version of HtoA. That will be fixed in an upcoming update, but for now, can you use the Python 3.9 version of Houdini?
