Arnold states it supports:

"Arnold supports any GPU newer than CUDA compute 5.0. For best performance, we recommend using Ada, Ampere, or Turing GPUs with RTX. Also supported are Volta (Titan V, Quadro GV100), Pascal (GeForce 10xx, Quadro Pxxx) GPUs, and Maxwell GPUs (GeForce 9xx, Quadro Mxxx). In general, any GPU based on the Maxwell architecture or newer (such as Pascal, Volta, Turing, or Ampere) works with Arnold if paired with new enough NVIDIA drivers."

So to confirm, it does not and will never support any AMD Radeon cards?

I was hoping to rumours of a 32 GB 9080 XT will be true, but will it never support such a card?

It's that or wait for 5080 Super.
