I encountered a very difficult problem during the production process. When I was using C4D 2023 (Arnold 4.7.9) for rendering the same project, it took 2 minutes and 51 seconds. However, when I used the latest versions such as 4.8.5 and 4.8.3, it still took 59 minutes and was still not completed.

Hi Anonymous

Is it just IPR? Or is Render to Preview Window, or render to disk, also slower?
It would help if you could get an Info-level Arnold log for a completed render, because that show a time-based breakdown

Thank you for your help. Yes, I only tested IPR because the duration was too long and I didn't attempt to render it into the window. To obtain the Arnold log more quickly, I adjusted the project settings (the camera sampling AA was changed from 3 to 1) (the global light sampling was cancelled) (the rendering proportion of the IPR window was adjusted to 30%). After completion, the rendering time was 11 minutes.

Your log says pretty clearly that you are slow because of your textures. 98.84% of the time is textures:

00:11:21 17075MB | top frame self-times by category
00:11:21 17075MB | AiTextureHandleAccess 8:22.11 (98.84%)

This is because you are not using tx textures. Enable autotx and it should get nice and fast.
