Hi everyone,

I have a little problem with search path workflow between Mac and PC.

I work on a project with many designer (on mac and pc) and for some reason we want to use relative path for our texture in C4DtoA... The problem is : Our render farm run on Windows, so when a Mac user send the scene to the render farm, the search path is not good anymore...

Is there a solution to work with relative texture path on Mac and PC ?

Do you use Team Render or export to ASS and render with kick?

The Team Render client should automatically download textures from the server, so you should not worry about paths.

With an ASS file, you can run a script before sending to the farm to correct the paths in the file. Or you can simply add the path which is valid on the farm to the texture search path in the render settings. You can also define an environment variable in the search path (e.g. [MY_ENV_VAR]) and set it on the workstations and farm accordingly.

I use Deadline.

I find a way to send files when I submit my scene. Now I have to find how to remove automatically the folder created by deadline when the job is completed 😉
