render glass with alpha and shadow on extra layer

Hi all,
happy new year first of all.

I need:

- glass (different shapes and colors)

- on an alpha channel - to use it later in Photoshop on different backgrounds

- with a shadow

- It would be best if the shadow was on an extra layer with mulit-pass but arnold does not support psd files with alpha?

Shadow_matte is not working as I am used to it when I have a solid product without transparency.

Is Arnold probably not the right renderer for that or am I missing something completely?
Does anyone have an idea or a tutorial?

HNY to you too.

You will need to enable standard_surface.transmit_aovs to have alpha with your glass.

How is the shadow_matte shader not working for you? Could you provide a simplified scene or some screengrabs of your scene?
