"AutoCAD" Background Tasks After Installing C4DtoA - MacOS 13.2.1

Hello,

After installing the latest C4DtoA plugin, my system (MacOS 13.2.1) notified me that "AutoCAD" is running tasks in the background and I've verified this via System Settings. I do not have AutoCAD installed on my machine. Is this associated with Arnold? If so, what are these background tasks and I can turn them off?

Thanks,

- Brian

There are some generic Autodesk tools installed with the plugin which run in the background, like licensing, analytics tool, etc., but nothing related to AutoCAD, that sounds odd.

Update: It appears that this "AutoCAD" background task related to Arnold licensing in some way. I had turned off the background task and was unable to successfully license C4DtA on the machine. After re-enabling the "AutoCAD" background task, I was able to license C4DtoA. Wondering if the task is just adopting a generic label as it may be the same task for a myriad of Autodesk products or something?

It might be just the label. Could you please share a screenshot of the running background tasks? I'll also double check on my Mac.

Thanks for your consideration Peter. Attached find the screenshot of the System Settings (System Settings > General > Login Items)

No news, sorry. I have an older OS version and don't have the background tasks listed in the System Settings. Don't see any AutoCAD processes in the terminal or in the Activity Monitor. Might be a macOS 13 related issue, but I can not update now.

I can confirm the issue on Ventura, and it's indeed a licensing background process. Our licensing team is aware and working on a fix. It is just a wrong label and has no actual impact on licensing. You have to keep this background item enabled.
