C4D Standard Mograph / Colorizer gradient behavior

Arnold's distribution of the ramp node connected to emission output

How can I achieve the same distribution on cloned objects as with the Mograph/Colorizer?
(note: those traced lines only render as Multi Instance via Arnod)

Use a Shader effector with the gradient and you can read the color in the Arnold shader network via the user_data_rgb shader. Set the Attribute to display_color. Check out this tutorial.

Thanks so much! Actually I was aware of the user_data_rgb node but couldn't figure out how to feed it with a custom User Data Attribute from an XPpresso tag.

By creating a shader effector > add a colorizer shader inside > set texture to gradient and connecting the XPresso to the gradiant (one level above) of the colorizer did actually work.

I updated the scene with a gradient control element.
