Node Editor stretching

Hi all

the legacy node editor allows nodes stretch vertically and horizontally. The current node editor only allows horizontally stretching. Sometimes it's useful to also be able to stretch vertically. Is this a maxon or arnold limitation? I guess maxon?

It is a Maxon limitation. The Node Editor UI is a generic editor maintained by Maxon.
