Need help interpreting Cryptomatte error

Cinema 4D: R212.207. C4DtoA: 2.6.1.4+5.4.0.1

Any time one of our artists tries to render with cryptomatte enabled we see the following error and the render dies:

C4DtoA | 00:00:02 819MB WARNING| cryptomatte_noop_filter: could not set BOOL parameter "noop"
C4DtoA | 00:00:02 819MB WARNING| Cryptomatte Filter: Could not infer rank from filter name. cryptomatte_noop_filter
C4DtoA | 00:00:02 819MB ERROR| Cryptomatte Filter: cryptomatte_noop_filter rank not set, and could not be inferred from name.

Could someone tell me what this is trying to tell us and maybe how to address it?

Thanks!

I could not reproduce it. If it happens only on one workstation, then sounds like a version conflict, although I'm sure how's that possible. The noop parameter was added to the cryptomatte_filter node in cryptomatte version 1.0.0. Maybe an older version is loaded somehow?

This filter is created only when exr preview channels are disabled, so turning this flag on in the shader could be a workaround. Downside is that the exr file will be larger because of these new layers.

Yep, looks like it was a cryptomatte version conflict. Problem solved! Thank you!
