Mograph Cloner Instances don't render.

Hi,

I'm experiencing an issue using mograph instances, viewport works just fine but once I fire up the IPR the instances are not there. I tried both multi instance and render instances and nothing. Any help would be much appreciated. Screenshot attached. Thanks!!

You are setting "Render Instance" on the Instance Object, right? And not on the Cloner.

I guess the current behavior makes sense, because the IPR displays the active scene, and setting "Render Instance" on the Instance Object means it does not generate any meshes in the active scene, only in the render scene. Do the instances render fine if you render to the Picture Viewer?

It's a good question though how they are displayed in the viewport, but I guess it uses a different logic and does not look for the actual meshes in the scene.

Thanks for the reply. Yes indeed, they are set as "render instance". I tried all options and still nothing, both in the IPR nor Picture Viewer. I am attaching the scene, any hint is very appreciated. 

By the way I'm using version 4.7.2.1

Do you recommend to update to the latest?

The latest version won't help in this case. It's very likely a bug with nested instancing. I'll take a look and try to fix it in the next release.
