Luminance & alpha image in shader?

Hi!

I'd like to see how to apply a luminance and alpha layer in a shader, like the classic C4D shaders. And adjust levels of brightness and transparence in both, and animate opacity. Appreciate any tip.

Thanks!

Javier

Look at the emission in the standard_surface shader: https://help.autodesk.com/view/ARNOL/ENU/?guid=arnold_user_guide_ac_standard_surface_ac_standard_emi...

About the alpha, the standard_surface has a Cutout Opacity setting under the Geometry group.

Or if you want to use alpha to blend two materials, you can use the alpha input in the Node Material. Look at the material stacking section in the docs: https://help.autodesk.com/view/ARNOL/ENU/?guid=arnold_for_cinema_4d_ci_Materials_ci_Node_Material_ht...

You can also mix shaders via the layer_shader: https://help.autodesk.com/view/ARNOL/ENU/?guid=arnold_core_ac_layer_shader_html
