How to create backlight Mask

Hi All!
I want create back light Mask same c4d material in arnold, please look the picture.

I want create this video with arnold render

My project in attack file
And I have a problem, when I use Ctrl + darg to copy shader nodes in arnold shader network editor. I always have 2 copied nodes, i don't like it. How to copy only 1?

You could just use a mix shader. Connect a ramp to the mix_weight.

But how to create mix map? I can't find ramp setting use shadow or highlight as a Map to mix

I tried ambient_occlusion, ramp, curvature, facing_ratio,... It not work

I hope some one there can help me!

If the light isn't moving, you don't need it. You can just eyeball it by positioning the ramp.

I created a few shaders here: Mix shader, distance shader (with plane), and toon shader. I think the toon shader works best and gives you more control.

Are you selecting one node? It should only duplicate one node.

It's a known issue in the legacy node editor for a while now, as stated in the release notes. Unfortunately it can not be fixed from the plugin. I recommend to use the new Node Material with the builtin node editor.
