Hair Arnold Tag Export UVs for color, use texture for Opacity

I am trying to make a sort of impressionist painting style set up by using C4D hair. (mainly because I can brush it unlike Mo graph where you cant. I want the material to to pick up Objects Uvs color and project a paint brush stroke texture across the hair plane to attach to the materials Opacity. 

Is there a way to set UVs to ignore attribute tag export UVs for some textures?

You can read the bu, bv coordinates via a state_float shaders and connect them to image.uvcoord, where you want the original (Export UVs unchecked) uvs.
