Drag and drop texture to node editor hangs

Hi,

On MacOS (Ventura) and M1 Ultra Studio with Arnold C4DtoA 4.5.0 [5d5178cf], when I drag and drop a texture to the new node editor, I get a beach ball and C4D hangs. I need to kill the C4D process.

To reproduce:

- start with a fresh instance of C4D 2023.1

- switch to Arnold

- Create a node material

- Drag and drop a texture from finder to the node editor.

- You'll get the beachball. I've waited several minutes but ended up having to kill the process.

Thank you

Just a quick reply that I also tested on Windows and I have the same problem. The problem does not happen when Redshift is the renderer so I assume it might be an Arnold cross-platform bug.

Yes, I can reproduce it in Cinema 4D 2023.1, works fine in 2023.0. I will investigate what has been changed between those two versions. Thanks for reporting the issue.

Should be fixed now in C4DtoA 4.5.0.1.

Hi dear

How is the performance of Arnold on M1 ultra studio if compare to Intel / AMD CPU?

There are some test results in the Release Notes, comparing native and Rosetta emulation: https://help.autodesk.com/view/ARNOL/ENU/?guid=arnold_core_7140_html
