Camera Filtermap

Hi Guys - I'm having trouble making the Camera's "Filtermap" work to created a vignette.

I've created a simple shader, with a circular ramp plugged into the output, and allocated it in the Filtermap in the camera tag... but nothing. Do I need to create some sort of UV information?

Works in MAX.

The Ramp needs to be circular.
And in my case, I need to restart the render session before the vignettes translate, you cannot have IPR open and hook up the slot and see live linking, it needs to be restarted.

I've tried restarting Arnold a few times, and reloading all textures, but still doesn't work...?

It's a bug in the plugin, filter maps are not exported properly because the material is not detected as 'used' in the scene. I'll fix this in the next release. Meanwhile a workaround can be adding a hidden object to the scene with the filtermap material assigned, e.g. add a Cube, add the material to it, turn Visible in Editor and Visible in Renderer off.

Hi Peter - great thank you, that workaround fixes it.

I'm actually using the Filtermap to create action safe markers in the IPR... it would be great to have overlays (action safe, aspect ratio crops etc) in the IPR one day 🙂

It's planned, but no ETA at the moment.
