C4DtoA standard displacement height

Hello,

everytime I assign an Arnold material with displacement to an asset, I also need to add an Arnold tag and set the displacement from the standard 100cm to 1cm (Quixel bridge for example does this by default when exporting to C4DtoA). Is there a way to reduce the overall standard displacement height to 1cm so it's not necessary to make a tag everytime?

Best regards!

Yes, I can change the default. You can also set the Scale in the displacement shader.

Hi Peter, thanks for your answer. I think changing the default would be great, as I usually end up needing the 1cm displacement much (!) more often than the 100cm one, at least in human-scale sets with textures that are set up for multiple applications. I don't know if it's like that for most people though. Maybe a little input setting for the standard somewhere would be the best solution.

I'm actually planning to change the default export scale to 1 cm instead of the current 1 m, which will probably work better for everyone. I just need to find the time for it. In the meantime, maybe a setting for the displacement height would make sense, yes.
