C4dtoA instance issue

Why its not possible to render an instance of an instance in C4dtoA? Different instance mode doesn't change anything. Standard render in Cinema4d works fine (right rendering).

When using Cinema4D R20 import for CAD files null objects and instances are automatically created like this.

How to fix it?

Arnold version: 2.4.2.1

Thank you in advance.

C4DtoA doesn't seem to support that yet. It instances the object under the null, but doesn't create a second instance to match.

A possible quick-and-dirty workaround: stick a MoInstancer under the null. The MoInstance doesn't have to reference any object, but putting it there forces C4DtoA to create a new copy of the cube and then instance it.

So you do get the overhead of another object, but that object does get instanced. That worked at least in my simple test scene.

Could you please check this fix and let me know if it works properly?

This issue should be fixed in C4DtoA 2.4.5.
