C4D freezes after adding ctrl-dragging "Ramp_RGB"

Hey,

here is an example file:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZIAd6jQsieSjt_oyUQC0HvuKHPDosDyV/view?usp=sharing

I am on C4D  26.107 and C4DtoA 4.2.4 on Windows 10. I have no other plugins in C4D (exept cTools).

But my problem already appeared one or two minor versions before that.

My problem is: when I try to add a ramp_RGB to my node material (either by double clicking in the node area or by ctrl-drag an existing one) than C4D freezes and I have to task manage kill C4D.

Can you see what the reason could be?

Thank you very much...

could it be that it is depending on my C4D layout?

if you have two monitors, mybe you could try with this:

I can reproduce it using your layout. Not sure yet what's the problem, will take a look and let you know.

Awesome. But for now i can work with the default nodes layout. So no priority. Mybe I try to recreate my layout tomorrow an see if the problem persists.

In fact, now that I think of it, it could have started when I added those script-buttons near the top right in my layout.

Will let you know if I find something...

Cheers and thx a lot!

The hang seems to be caused by the docked Attribute Editor and Task Manager in that position in the layout. If I remove any of them, there's no hang. Can you confirm that? It's pretty odd, I have a feeling that it's a bug in C4D. Also I could not reproduce it in R25, so it seems like an R26 specific issue.

Yes! Just closing the Task Manager resolves the issue... Now I can add or control-drag as many ramp_RGB nodes as I want...
