AOV for specific channel (density) within a volume?

Does anyone know if it's possible to create an AOV for a specific channel (density) within a volume?

My volume uses heat, temperature, and density to create fire... but I'm trying to get an AOV for just the smoke (density)

Any ideas/pointers really appreciated.

There's no support for custom AOVs for volumes, not yet.

ok no worries, thanks for quick reply. I guess a workaround is to just re-render the volume with other channels temporarily turned off

Was about to suggest just that, should work fine, provided you have everything isolated.
