Add scaled down image textures on object in C4DtoA

I want to add stickerlike images on my 3d object, how do I scale down images so that they cover only part of the object without tiling and doing weird stuff like that? up until now i have only always had the image stretch across the entire object and when i tried scaling it down with uvtransform, it didnt work....please some help here? : )
