3D gradient

Hi, I have a simple array of cubes and I need to apply a ramp that makes the cubes in the center white and the outer cubes black but in a gradual way as if it was a 3D volumetric gradient.

I can't find the combination of nodes to do this. It would have to be done in object mapping mode so that it can be animated in space.

I've seen some post asking about this but I can't find the solution.

If someone can give me some hints that would be great.

Thanks in advance

Diego

Maybe something like this?

The state_vector is set to 'shading point in world space (P)'. I assume the Cubes are generated by a Cloner, so you can use an object node to output the Global Position of the Cloner. Otherwise this should be the center point in world space. Basically this graph takes the distance of the shading point from the center and maps it to a (0-1) range via the range shader as the input of the ramp.

Hello Peter, thank you very much, this is exactly what I was looking for.

You could also map a ramp_rgb to a triplanar shader.
