Installing MaxtoA on external SSD?

Hello,

 I've installed 3dsmax 2021 on my external SSD and tried to install MaxtoA 5.4.2.7. It does install, but where? I don't know. It's definitely not installing in the 3dsMax SSD directory b/c the version stays the same inside max even after the installation. I don't see an option for changing directories on the installer. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

All the Application Plugins, like Arnold, Retopology, USD, etc are installed here:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins

Would you happen to know how I can get 3dsmax 2021 to see it? Plugin manager maybe?

Sorry, I am not sure if Max 2021 is in the same location, but it should be. But yes, the Plugin Manager will tell you where is loading the files from

As you can see anything Arnold is pointing to the ApplicationPlugins folder.
