How to switch back to the old Maya render view?

I upgraded to 5.2 and when I hit the 'Render the current Frame' button it switches to Arnold Renderview instead.  We don't use the Arnold RV button as it is way too buggy. Often doesn't update or show changes in blend shapes or instances. The regular Maya render view almost always works as expected and often if you hit that then you can reset the Arnold one.  Now there is no way to get a clean render without quitting/reopening.  How do I switch back?  Thanks.

IPR in the Maya Render View updates, but Arnold Render View doesn't? They are both using the same code, so that doesn't sound right. If the Maya Render View is automatically updating (eg you don't have to click the Refresh icon) to show changes, the Arnold Render View should do the same.

What kind of changes on instances? shading or geometry?

"No way to get a clean render..." Not even Scene Update?

Apparently this means we can't switch back.  For such a small point upgrade, this has been disruptive to our workflow.

It appears that not options that were in the old render window are in the new/only Arnold render window. For example before if you go to save an image there was an option to choose what image format you want, now it just saves it as .jpg. Unless there is some unintuitive place it has been moved to.

In the past we didn't use the IPR in the Maya Render window, so if they use the same code it didn't apply.  We would use the Arnold IPR and when things get strange, instance meshes disappearing or deformations not showing the deformed state, we would hit the Maya render button and it would be fine.  If it happens again I will get screenshots.

I'm not too experienced with Maya, so I might be completely off here, but what happens if you try to save it with the file extension you want? For instance, name it "foo.exr" (ignore that it says jpg). Does that work?

Hey, that worked for the saving issue. I really thought that it would just append it, ie: foo.exr.jpg.  One issue out of the way. Thanks!
